GSA Fees - 2025/2026 Academic Year

For tax receipt purposes, check your UWaterloo financial statement on Quest for the named fees and amount applied to your statement.

GSA Association Fees

​

The “GSA Association Fees” include charges for administration of GSA services including advising, representation and advocacy efforts, as well as support for academic, social, and wellness initiatives.

This fee goes towards the administration of GSA services including advising, representation, and advocacy efforts that are provided by the GSA staff members. Furthermore, it covers the cost of academic, social, wellness initiatives and all events run by the GSA.

Supports GSA Graduate House services including subsidized food pricing, social programming and use of graduate house space. Members who pay this fee also receive discounts on food prices and free room booking.

This fee provides student access to the Grand River Transit system in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge using your Watcard. For full details, please visit our GRT UPass page here.

The Health Plan fee provides health coverage for graduate students through StudentCare. For full details, please visit our Health and Dental page here.

The Dental Plan fee provides health coverage for graduate students through StudentCare. For full details, please visit our Health and Dental page here.

This fee gives students access to legal representation for housing, employment, and academic discipline matters. For full details, please visit our Legal Care page here.
