The Graduate Student Association (GSA) is committed to advancing equity, inclusion, and social justice for all graduate students at the University of Waterloo. Our equity work focuses on advocacy, education, community building, and support for students from equity-deserving and historically marginalized communities.

We recognize that graduate students experience intersecting systems of oppression and barriers related to race, gender, sexuality, disability, citizenship status, religion, class, and other identities. Through equity-driven initiatives and partnerships, the GSA works to reduce these barriers and foster a campus environment where all graduate students feel safe, respected, and supported.
