Grad Clubs

The GSA is now introducing graduate student clubs! Graduate students will have the opportunity to connect with other like-minded students to create clubs specifically for our community. The GSA is here to help facilitate the creation and organization of your club and you will be able to utilize the benefits of being a GSA recognized Grad Club.

Benefits 

Being recognized as an official Graduate Club at the University of Waterloo will provide you with various benefits. Please review the list of benefits below: 
 

Priority Access to GSA Space 

  • As a Graduate Club, you will have priority access to booking various GSA spaces including the Grad Lounge and Board Room.  


Administrative 

  • Support with Graduate Club elections if needed 

  • Support with submitting GSEF funding application and contacting with groups across campus

Communication 

  • Be featured as an official Graduate Club on the GSA website 

  • Access to promotion using our social media platforms (Ex. Newsletter, Website, Instagram) - Termly posting on Instagram

Do you want to start a new Grad Club? 

Signature Form 

In order to start a Graduate Club, we need to ensure there are sufficient people who are interested in participating. You will be expected to outline the Purpose and Objective of your Graduate Club and obtain five (5) signatures from students who are currently members of the GSA and are active graduate students at the University of Waterloo who have paid the GSA fees.  

Once it is complete, please submit the form to our VP Administration at gsa-admin@uwaterloo.ca for next steps.
